Nationwide Mapping:
You're no longer restricted to just a few counties. Now you have the entire US at your fingertips, a real boom to our customers with flight programs

Centerline data recognizes street sides:
Typically natural landmarks like streams, rivers and major streets set districts and boundaries. When streets set your district, often one side of the street will be the end of a district and the other side is the beginning of another. VersaMap's centerline data recognizes which side of the street addresses fall on so you report more accurate information to your crews.

More accurate geo validation:
Microsoft's Geo engine offers enhanced accuracy over the current geo-lookup system.

Linked to AVL:
Because of its greater flexibility, AMBPAC has chosen VersaMap as its AVL mapping source, giving you the most in precision.

Regions utility - for setting up districts, zones or grids:
Allows you to set system parameters in ways you only dreamed of in the past. Now you can setup your districts, zones or grids as you see fit. You can emulate the grid setup in most any map book. Create districts using any landmarks you want to (county lines, rivers, streams, streets etc.)

Very low periodic update cost:
Using Microsoft MapPoint, you have access to their already established software upgrade system too keep you up to date on changes and additions to regions locally and around the United States.

Routing:
Will give closest unit recommendation by actual route driven. Very powerful routing tool allows future customization. Great planning tool for setting best routes to locations.

Re-routing:
Allows for road construction, bridge outages, etc. If you know a bridge is out, you can re-route a unit based on a new computer recommendation.

Powerful administrative tool:
Map definitions can be local or shared. Allows EXTENSIVE customization to the look and feel of VersaMap

Can be run remotely over a LAN/WAN:
Your administrators can view the locations and status of your ambulances without having to have a copy of SmartCAD running.

Customizable map icons:
Each unit can have its own icon - you can have a custom icon for every Run in Progress (RIP) and every priority.

Unit icons are customizable:
Standard options, or SQL query lets you have it all. Such as:

Ambulance Locations
Differentiate Priority 1, 2 and 3 calls.
Differentiate ALS or BLS units.
Your icons can be customized to fit your individual needs.

Address lookups by location:
Here's the scenario: You get a call for a medical aid at Mc Donald's, but the caller doesn't know the address. Simply go to your VersaMap and type in Mc Donald's and the city you wish to look for and VersaMap will display all of the Mc Donald's in your city. Click on the one you want and it will give you the address along with a graphical plotting on the map. From there you can even get directions to that location and send them over the pager to your crews.
